Our CD is on the way! - August 13, 2006

We've recorded our new CD, and we're really excited about it! We had help from our friend, producer, and engineer Gregg Carpenter, who also lent us his bass talents for one tune. Another friend, Paul Beuning joined us on flugelhorn and trumpet for some of the songs. The tunes are all original, written by Dave Wolpe, Scott Baekeland, Dave Davidson and Marc Rosen. For those familiar with jazz, Dave Wolpe is well known for his great arrangements of big band tunes as well as his trombone playing. We are fortunate enough to have a tune he wrote specifically for us. The CD will be available soon, so keep an eye here, and, if you haven't already, please sign up for our email list so we can let you know when it is out!
Of course, don't forget to join us on September 23, 2006 in Tucson at Ric's Cafe. Check out the calendar for details!

Amazing Symphony Concert - April 15, 2006

On April 7, 2006 we appeared with the Sierra Vista Symphony in southern Arizona. This professional symphony has been playing here for 10 years. For their "pops" concert this year, I was hired to play pieces written by Gerry Mulligan for solo baritone saxophone and orchestra. I was able to get the orchestrations from Mulligan Publishing (thanks to them for their help) so we could perform these wonderful pieces. The group also did 4 tunes, including my original Janet's Blues (you can get that on the Music page). It was a lot of fun for us and the audience really seemed to appreciate it!
